Everyone has a distinct style of painting and these lessons aim to help you discover yours! You don't need any experience, everyone is welcome and Ottilie will guide you through every step needed to get the most out of your evening so you can walk away with a finished product to be proud of. At the heart of it, the goal is for people to connect and have a lovely time whilst gaining skills in a hobby that is so versatile. Out of all mediums, watercolour is the most portable and allows artists to paint anywhere and everywhere.
Having studied Psychology at the University of Bristol, Ottilie has researched extensively on what makes people happy. One key thing is getting into one’s flow state which means to become immersed in an activity, becoming a form of meditation. With a little bit of practice, watercolour becomes a beautiful pasttime. Ottilie has painted everywhere she's gone in the past 2 years and it’s become her own sort of diary. Follow that instagram @artilie_cullen to see where she finds herself and her paints next.
Most paint and sips you see will have everyone follow a step-by-step process, usually with acrylic paints which is great but doesn’t help people find their own individuality and creativity, nor can they take it on the go! Watercolours are so portable and with these classes you will hopefully be encouraged to carry on painting wherever you go!
£20 per head includes a glass of bubbly bubbles or an equally bubbly alternative if you prefer a clear head while painting!
