This artisan-made ceramic butter dish features a matching lid and base, finished in rich, iridescent colours. The swirling, highly textured glaze evokes the striking eyes of peacock feathers, complemented by the welcome surprise of a contrasting rose pink interior. Due to the complex three-kiln firing process, every piece is completely unique, ensuring variation in the depth and tone of the colours.
We hold limited stock of these stunning, meticulously crafted pieces. If you are searching for a truly unique wedding gift idea or a treasured item for your own home, this butter dish is an exceptional choice.
HLW Ceramics works from her home studio in Camberley, Surrey to create wheel-thrown pottery that embodies classic and timeless silhouettes with bold and characterful glazes that you won't find anywhere else. Each piece is handmade on a potter's wheel, using a smooth stoneware clay, bisque-fired in a kiln and then glazed with high quality stoneware glazes. The top of each butter dish is then brushed with a hint of gold and the whole piece is fired a third time. A time and skill-heavy process that embodies the artisan-made approach to ceramics.
