Artisan Ceramic Lidded Butter Dish with Gold Top and Desert Sand Speckled Glaze

This artisan-made ceramic butter dish features a domed lid and base, finished in an earthy speckled sand glaze—reminiscent of a desert horizon—with a striking, intensely deep purple interior for contrast. Every piece is completely unique because of the variation in colours that emerge through the three kiln firing process.

We only have a limited number of these stunning pieces available; once sold, they are gone. Crafted with meticulous care, this unique piece makes a truly thoughtful wedding gift or a treasured addition to your own kitchen.

HLW Ceramics creates this piece from her home studio in Camberley, Surrey. She specialises in wheel-thrown pottery, combining classic, timeless silhouettes with bold, characterful glazes. Each handmade stoneware butter dish is crafted on a potter's wheel, bisque-fired, and then glazed with high-quality stoneware glazes. The final touch is a delicate brush of gold applied to the lid's knob, followed by a third firing—a time and skill-heavy process that ensures a truly artisan finish.

Handmade from stoneware and fired three times in a kiln to develop the unusual glazes. The exact colour, size and finish will always vary and no pieces will ever be the same colour and finish so we can't guarantee the colour and finish of your item will appear the same as that pictured.

We ship to the UK and the US (standard only). We use an automated shipping calculator based on weight and location.

International Delivery: We are pleased to offer standard delivery to the US. Please note we have suspended European delivery for the foreseeable.

We mail out orders two days a week: Tuesdays and Fridays. We aim to have your order out the door the same day wherever possible but our default days are the above.

RETURNS

We have a 14 day returns policy. Unless the item is damaged or faulty the customer is responsible for the return postage. Please refer to the full terms and conditions for further information.
