An artisan-made ceramic butter dish and matching lid in iridescent colours and a swirling glaze that looks like the eyes of peacock feathers, and the welcome surprise of a contrasting rose pink inside. Every piece is completely unique because of the variation in colours that emerge through the three kiln firing process.
We only have a few of these stunning pieces available, once they're gone they're gone! If you're looking for a truly unique wedding gift idea, this would have our top vote. Made with meticulous care, it's a piece to be treasured for years to come.
HLW Ceramics works from her home studio in Camberley, Surrey to create wheel-thrown pottery that embodies classic and timeless silhouettes with bold and characterful glazes that you won't find anywhere else. Each piece is handmade on a potter's wheel, using a smooth stoneware clay, bisque-fired in a kiln and then glazed with high quality stoneware glazes. The top of each butter dish is then brushed with a hint of gold and the whole piece is fired a third time. A time and skill-heavy process that embodies the artisan-made approach to ceramics.
