Large Male Italian Ceramic Bust Vase

A fresh take on the Sicilian moors head, the legendary symbol of Sicily portraying the face of a married Moorish man who fell in love with another woman and on finding out his forlorn mistress cut off his head and used it as a vase for buds of basil, watering them with her own tears. The heady scent inspired her neighbours to commission ceramic vases with the same features as the Moor's head.

This vase is handmade from porcelain ceramic with a linen-white glaze. Handpicked by founder Lexi for her own wedding decor, this decorative vase looks best when overflowing with peach pink peonies or branches from Sicilian lemon trees. Treasure it as a standalone vase or display as a pair with his lover on plinths in your entryway as art pieces that honour the legacy of Sicily.

International Delivery: We are pleased to offer standard delivery to the US. Please note we have suspended European delivery for the foreseeable.

We mail out orders two days a week: Tuesdays and Fridays. We aim to have your order out the door the same day wherever possible.

RETURNS
